Pros and cons of Schwab Mobile app for iPhone and iPad

I like the app, takes some Getting used to. Also hard to find options that website offers so maybe the options arent there at all. Plus I left this review cuz it kept asking me to do so! So here it is.

The check deposit flow is improved. Theres no need to press shutter anymore!

I like the faster touch login and automatic photo when electronically depositing checks.

Im able to trade stocks, move money, and keep an active view of my portfolio performance. I have tried other platforms and I seem to enjoy the ease and smoothness of Charles Schwab. Thanks!

I recently opened an account with Schwab and tried their mobile app. Ive seen a lot of people wanting to go back to previous versions, having trouble with the Mobile Deposit, etc, which I am too new to have any experience with. My only complaint is how long it took to get my Mobile Deposit applications approved, which has nothing to do with the app. The app itself does everything I need it to do and does it smoothly and quickly.

Super easy to deposit the checks. It captures the image and takes a photo automatically if you hold the phone steady. Great app and it works for me.

Some bad moments

The most recent update obliterated my device watch list. Extremely peeved!

Im a long-time customer of Schwab, and have used their mobile app for years. This latest update seems to have broken the ability to deposit checks. It rejects any and all photos taken. As a result I am changing my stars from a previous review to one. Schwab needs to fix this as soon as possible.

Ive read the many reviews asking to go back to the previous version. Without even having seen it Im also asking to go back. It certainly cant be any worse. This app navigation is horrible. Please add ability to see both deposited and cashed check images, ability to view upcoming bills pending to be paid from account, and ability to schedule bill payment from mobile. These are basic things competitors have offered for a long time. Go check out BoA and Chase and be more like their app, its ok to borrow ideas that work and actually meet customer needs. I just opened Schwab Bank accounts after years of investing in brokerage account. Im seriously considering closing all and moving to another institution. Its too easy to move to be putting up with horrible app.

On several occasions Ive clicked on Options from a stock quote and was only shown 2 or 3 expiration dates to choose from. I then had to log in from Safari to access the option chains. The ability to see realized gains/losses doesnt exist. You can no longer go directly to the underlying stock quote from an option quote.

Still TERRIBLE - just go back to the old version. You are delusional if you think this latest update fixed this horrendous problem you created.

Camera doesnt focus and then blurs the photo when taking the photo.
